Benefits of Spray Foam and Acrylic or Polyurea coatings

Closed-cell spray foam insulation is one of the most effective solutions for improving a building's energy efficiency, comfort, and structural performance. Acrylic and polyurea foundation coatings, along with liquid-applied Tyvek® weather barrier coatings, create seamless, waterproof membranes that protect buildings from water intrusion, air infiltration, and environmental wear. Acrylic coatings offer durable, UV-resistant protection with a typical service life of 10 to 20 years before recoating may be recommended, while polyurea coatings provide exceptional flexibility, chemical resistance, and abrasion protection, often lasting 25 years or more depending on exposure and maintenance. Liquid-applied Tyvek® coatings form a continuous air and water-resistive barrier that seals penetrations and transitions more effectively than traditional sheet wraps, contributing to a tighter building envelope, improved indoor comfort, lower energy consumption, and enhanced moisture management.
